Right in the historical centre of Athens, on one of the city’s most commercial streets, the Attalos hotel is located at walking distance to Plaka, the flea market & bazaar of Monastiraki, the Ancient Agora and Psiri.

All of the hotel’s 80 rooms (quadruple/family rooms are also available) with air-conditioning, central heating, soundproof windows, direct dial phone, safe box, mini-bar, TV, free Wi-Fi, private bath with shower & hairdryer; most of the rooms have balcony.

A charming roof garden bar provides the perfect setting for enjoying a spectacular view of the Acropolis and Lycabettus Hill.

Staff was very helpful, friendly & the free breakfast was good. The rooftop bar was convenient for a cocktail & provided nice views of the sunrise & sunsets. Location was wonderful & we walked everywhere. Very busy area but the room was quiet. The balcony doors do not have exterior door handles, so when you sit outside, the door stays open.

The Hotel Attalos is a great hotel for a value and location. It is very well located near the Monastiraki train station and several historic sites are nearby. The hotel itself is clean and well kept and the staff are very friendly. The view of the Acropolis is amazing.

Hotel Attalos was fantastic! The room was comfy, clean and close to everything. The breakfast was excellent. There was lots to choose from and everything was delicious. The front desk staff were great. They were helpful in directing us to a place to park our car overnight and offered assistance with anything we asked about. The roof top bar offered an exceptional view of the Acropolis! Highly recommend this hotel.

Accommodations are really nice and in a good location close (but not too close) to the Plaka and restaurants. Quiet hotel, the breakfast is very much worth it, and the view from the rooftop bar is breathtaking. The staff are incredible and very kind!

We have stayed at the Hotel Attalos every time during the 19 summers we have traveled to Greece. We stay with them upon our arrival and before we head home. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The hotel itself has been updated. There are now refrigerators in the rooms and the bathrooms are newly renovated. We have always been very comfortable and look forward to our stay.

We have stayed at this hotel for the past 18 years and would never consider any place else. This hotel is within easy walking distance to many of Athens popular sites. The staff is very friendly and accommodating and is always willing to go the extra mile. The night time views from the very nice rooftop garden bar of the fully illuminated Acropolis are truly not to be missed with.

a very good hotel eventhough it's only 2stars, very strategically located near the monastiraki Receptionist was very kind to contact the Dolphin Hellas office when our minibus failed to turn up to take us to the airport. He also called for 2 taxis to take us to the airport.(more...)
