Authentic Rembetiko feast in Syros

It does not get more Greek than "Opa"! Celestyal Cruises invites you to a traditional authentic Greek Rembetiko feast, a folklore way of amusement by local musicians.

We begin with a short tour of the Ermoupoli center, the picturesque capital of Syros island, where a tour guide will walk you through the main highlights, such as Miaouli square, the Apollon Theater and the Vaporia district.

Then we proceed to a tavern in Ermoupoli. There, you will listen to songs penned by the popular Syros rembetiko composer, Markos Vamvakaris. The feast will include a plethora of local "mezedes" (delicacies), such as Syros sausage, fresh Syros produce salad with local vegetables, "three-cheese" eggplants and of course plenty of Greek wine for your enjoyment. Get ready to try your skills in authentic traditional Greek dances, such as zeimbekiko, hasapiko and syrtaki. Opa!
