Excursion to Oia Village
- Land tour code: SAN-01
- Cruise port: Greece - Cyclades islands - Santorini
- Duration: Half day
- Currently not operated -
First you head up to Megalochori. The tour continues its passage towards the north: to the east, in the background, you will have settlements like Kamari and Monolithos, while you will pass through Fira, the small traditional villages of Firostefani and Imerovigli with delicate architecture and beauties, to eventually arrive at the settlement of Oia. During the entire route, to the west you will have before your eyes the lace-like caldera, the little islands of Thirasia, Palea and Nea Kameni and an unsurpassable panoramic view.
Built on the Caldera rim, Oia village is an excellent example of Cycladic architecture. You will have plenty of time to walk along the cobble-stone streets and the white washed houses with blue shutters, to gaze at the adorably cute shops, to take pictures; in this village one gets the impression of being part of a beautiful travel poster.
REMARKS: The tour involves easy walking: some walking over even surface included.
